The fruit was originally called the Chinese Gooseberry, then renamed “Melonette”, then “Kiwifruit” by New Zealand exporters, and then shortened and simply known as Kiwi. Kiwi contains twice the amount of vitamin C than an orange, more fiber than apples, and is a rich source of potassium and vitamin E. Being both low in calories and a very good source of dietary fiber makes it a perfect fruit for weight loss, as fiber is good for filling you up and suppressing your appetite.
