This beef burger recipe is a simple grilled burger recipe that you can easily cook for a quick lunch or dinner. Ingredients:

450g (1 lb.) extra lean minced beef less than 5% fat;

1 spring onion, chopped;

1 tbsp. fresh parsley, chopped;

1 tbsp. fresh basil, chopped;

2 garlic cloves peeled and pushed thought the press;

1 egg white.

Salt and pepper.

Salsa Ingredients:

1 plum tomato, chopped;

1 tbsp. fresh basil, finely chopped;

2 tsp. extra virgin olive oil;

1 tsp. lemon juice;

Salt and pepper to taste.

To Serve:

4 cups (200g) of romaine lettuce.

How to Make the Burgers:

In a large bowl combine the minced beef, spring onion, basil, parsley, garlic, egg white, salt and pepper. Mix it all gently with your hands and form the mixture into 4 burger patties (2 burgers each).

How to Make the Salsa Topping:

Mix the chopped tomatoes, basil, olive oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper together and set aside.

How to Cook the Burgers:

Heat a grill or barbeque to a medium heat, place the burgers on the grill and cook to your taste. Generally it takes 5-6 min on each side for medium.

Serve the burgers hot with lettuce and tomato salsa topping.
